This week is abit different 🙂
I recently did something slightly unhinged…
I pitched OpenAI...
By sending them a $20,000 website telling them why we should partner using their own ChatGPT web builder “@sites”! 😂
And guess what…it actually worked!
I had some insider knowledge…my post had been sent internally to the OpenAI team.
OpenAI noticed the site, commented and invited me to a conversation about a potential partnership. 😱
Ok I lied, it wasn’t a $20,000 website but quite honestly, 2 years ago, this was the quote I got for a website that looks what ChatGPT made me.
Not to mention I would have NEVER spent the time or effort to DIY this as a non techie for ONE client (I know OpenAI is one of my dream brands but this would have taken me months). Well, luckily for you, it’s finally possible!
Instead of sending another generic email with a media kit attached, I used ChatGPT (via @browser use) to search through THOUSANDS of my videos across 5 different social media platforms and find the content I posted about OpenAI.
It pulled together:
My best-performing ChatGPT videos and highlighted it
Direct video links and dates
Audience reactions
Performance data and analytics
Specific quotes from my audience about ChatGPT
Ideas we could potentially create together
What blew me away was that out of the box the design was gorgeous, even included animations with clickable videos (my actual videos!) and the part that would have taken me forever - the stats.
I didn’t realise my posts on ChatGPT alone totalled 54 million views! This is the power of having AI do all the tedious work and help you build proof.
I was shocked I did this all by myself with a few prompts, pretty chuffed 🤭 jk
But here’s what I was also super impressed with.
It was able to package up all the numbers, sentiment and messy content into one clear story that I could easily share (no hosting or set up).
Some of you asked me how I prompted it.
Honestly it was about 3-4 sentences to direct it. I had some idea of what I wanted like include top 10 videos in mobile Tiktok style frames with animations (I’m pretty horrible at prompting still!).
So I got ChatGPT to reverse engineer it so you can copy and paste it to customise your own (template towards end of email).

What should OpenAI and Brand Nat create together?
To be clear, I am not announcing a confirmed partnership.
But I originally thought the lesson was:
“Wow I can make a pretty pitch with AI”
It wasn’t.
The real lesson was much bigger:
The unfair advantage of using AI lets you make ambitious bets that previously would have been too expensive, too slow or too ridiculous to attempt.
Here’s how you can do it too.
THE 10% PROOF STRATEGY
You do not need to build an entire project for free.
Create just enough proof to make the opportunity feel real.
I call this the 10% proof.
You show the first 10% of the thinking, evidence or outcome.
The other 90% becomes the paid project, partnership or role.
If you are pitching a client:
Don’t say, “I can improve your content strategy.”
Use their public content and customer comments to create three missed opportunities, one sample campaign or a short audience-insight page.
If you are applying for a job:
Do not only send a résumé saying you are proactive.
Create a one-page opportunity map, a sample first-30-days plan or a useful analysis of a public business problem.
If you sell a service (accountant, lawyer, marketing agency):
Do not lead with “trust me bro”.
Get AI to scan their website/social pages to create a custom small version of the finished work: the strategy report, audit, campaign concept, interior design concepts, mockup, before and after etc.
You may have done this before but it would have taken ALOT of time and resources.
It could mean the difference between a scoring a $5k - $1million client with a custom site you built for them to show what’s possible (they don’t need to know it was just a few prompts)! The bar is still quite low in the real world!

And now that creating proof is faster and cheaper, you do not need to wait for someone to give you permission to show what is possible.
